Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Crooked Servant is named for the bend the meridian makes at this point. It opens the portals and clears and refreshes the senses, a reminder of how dull the mind and spirit can feel under complaints that seem purely physical. Lying over the brain, high in the body's heavenly region, it helps keep our wits sharp so we can steer through life with skill.

Worsley

Offers the chance to work with nature in cooperation and harmony instead of in ignorance or conflict, and lends us the perspective and flexibility to adapt to whatever life brings.

Location: 1.3 ACI from the midline of the head, ½ ACI inside the natural hairline, and ½ ACI lateral to UB-3.
Needle depth: 2 fen
Moxa: 3-5 cones

When to Consider
  • When the mind and spirit feel dull and foggy
  • When someone has lost their sharpness and cannot handle life with skill
  • When the Heart feels vexed and full
Notes
  • Mainly used for the nose and eyes; its spirit gift is clear, refreshed senses
