Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Upper Angle becomes tender on someone really overworked and under mental stress; the body and mind are telling you to slow down. Living too fast and packing in too many experiences jams up the Colon, and Metal's processes dislike being rushed; they need time and space. Like LI-8, it gives a different perspective on what is necessary and what is rubbish.

Worsley

Location: On the posteroradial forearm, 9 ACI above the wrist crease. With the palm side of the forearm laid across the chest, it lies on the radial edge of extensor digitorum.
Needle depth: 4 fen
Moxa: 5-10 cones

When to Consider
  • When someone is really overworked and mentally stressed
  • When the body and mind are saying it is time to slow down
  • When a person is living too fast and cramming in more experiences than they can process
Notes
  • Tenderness at this point can itself show that the person is overworked
