Spirit of the Point

Diaphragm Border helps with trouble breathing or digesting, above all when mental problems are part of the picture. Level with the Gathering point of the Blood, on the border of the Heart's territory, it can settle a spirit unsettled by weak Blood. Spiritually it is like taking in a breath of fresh air.

Worsley

Facilitates the mingling of heavenly breath with earthly existence, so that we feel ease and peace.

Location: On the back, 4 ACI from the midline, level with the dip between the T7 and T8 spinous processes.
Needle depth: 5 fen
Moxa: 3-15 cones

When to Consider
  • For shock, fear of the cold or the dark
  • When difficulty breathing or digesting goes along with mental problems
  • For fearfulness and anxiety
  • For restless agitation at night or heartbreak
  • When the spirit needs a breath of fresh air
Notes
  • Outer Bladder line point
  • Moxa works well here for coldness in the upper or lower burner
  • Great first aid point for hiccups
