Gallbladder Channel (GB)
Circuit: Human 人 – PC → SJ → GB → LIV
Pathway
- Starts at the outer corner of the eye, where two branches arise.
- One branch stays on the surface, zigzags across the side of the head, then curves behind the ear to reach the top of the shoulder (crossing: ST-8, SJ-22, SJ-20, SI-17, DU-14, UB-11, SI-12; ear branch: SJ-17, SI-19, ST-7).
- It carries on downward in front of the armpit
- and along the side of the rib cage to the hip region.
- The second branch travels internally through the cheek (crossing: ST-5, ST-6)
- and on internally through the neck
- and chest to reach the LIV (crossing: LIV-13)
- and its own organ, the GB.
- Going further down, this branch comes out at the side of the lower abdomen and joins the other branch in the hip area (crossing: UB-31, UB-32, UB-33, UB-34).
- The Meridian then descends the lateral thigh
- and knee to the side of the lower leg, and on down in front of the outer ankle.
- It crosses the top of the foot and ends at the lateral side of the tip of the fourth toe.
- A branch leaves just below the ankle and crosses the foot to the big toe, linking with the LIV Meridian.
