Liver Channel (LIV)
Circuit: Human 人 – PC → SJ → GB → LIV
Organs connected: LIV, GB, (LU, ST)
Pathway
- Starts on top of the big toe and crosses the top of the foot,
- rising in front of the inner ankle and along the medial lower leg and knee (crossing: SP-6).
- Continues up the medial thigh (crossing: SP-13, SP-12)
- to the pubic region, where it circles the external genitalia before entering the lower abdomen (crossing: REN-2, REN-3, REN-4).
- It rises internally,
- links with its own organ, the LIV,
- and with the GB, and spreads out beneath the ribs
- before flowing into the LU, where it links with the LU Meridian.
- Here the whole cycle of the Meridian system starts again. Re-forming, the Meridian follows the trachea up to the throat
- and links with the eyes. Two branches leave the eye area:
- one goes down across the cheek and circles the inner surface of the lips;
- the other rises across the forehead to the vertex of the head (crossing: DU-20).
