Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Another bend in the meridian where the Gallbladder's Qi can get stuck. This point serves the mouth, through which decisions are spoken when the timing is right. Out of balance, Wood may bark its decisions like a proclamation or whisper them timidly. It helps keep the mind and spirit clear.

Worsley

Location: On the temple, ½ ACI inside the natural hairline, level with the top of the ear, roughly 1 ACI in front of and a little below SJ-20.
Needle depth: 3 fen
Moxa: 3-5 cones

When to Consider
  • When fogginess of mind and spirit is causing frustration
  • When decisions are barked like proclamations, or whispered in timidity
  • When the person feels out of joint or out of step with the world
