Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Receive Fullness is about coming to harvest, being full of oneself, a sense of fulfillment, being filled with pleasure, coming to the end and the harvest of life. It is for an Earth Causative Factor (CF) who has never gathered in the harvest or known a sense of fulfillment, and feels no satisfaction. It also helps those who reject fullness, and it can bring awareness of a moment to savor. It brings a feeling that work has been done and it is time to pause, and empowers a person to experience the abundance in life rather than wallow in neediness.

Worsley

Location: On the abdomen, 3 ACI from the midline and 5 ACI above the umbilicus level, beside REN-13.
Needle depth: 5 fen
Moxa: 3-7 cones

When to Consider
  • When an Earth CF has never reaped the harvest or received a sense of fulfillment
  • When there is no satisfaction
  • When someone rejects fullness, as in anorexia
  • When a person constantly feels empty, hungry and discontented at any level
  • When the mind is overfull
  • When a person wants and cannot get what is needed, cannot fill themselves, or will not open up to the fullness already there
  • For someone whose life is in fact full but who isn't satisfied or can't feel they have reaped anything
Notes
  • One of the group ST-19, ST-20, ST-24 and ST-25 that moves Qi through the middle
