Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Not at Ease is for someone uncomfortable in an earthy way, whose cycles and the basic rhythms of life are out of balance. Sleeping, eating and menstruation are not functioning properly, and the mental cycles are out too: restlessness, a churning mind, problems that cannot be solved, obsessions and stuck ideas. The person cannot digest or process, takes nothing from past experiences and is not learning or transforming from them. It helps after excess of any kind, when we have taken in more than we can digest. As the name tells us: insecurity, instability and unease from not being grounded, like a child who cannot find its mother, panicky and unsteady, needing to be comforted and held. It brings understanding and ease within, so the person can see the solution with their own eyes.

  • When a person cannot process or digest and gains nothing from past experiences
  • When someone has overdone activity, eating or thinking and cannot digest it physically or mentally
  • When worry has turned into endless mental chewing, neither swallowed nor spat out, as when an Earth CF gets bad news and keeps going over it all day because they can't digest it any further
  • For inner agitation and the unease of not being grounded
  • When the patient feels at home nowhere
  • When experience isn't transformed into anything of value: "What is going on? Why me?"
  • When the person understands something intellectually but still doesn't really get it
