Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

The name points to channel Qi that reaches up into and connects with the highest heavens, the crown of the head, especially DU-20. It works most strongly on the spirit level, and also on the mental level, bringing peace to trouble, even complete peace and calm. Its name Old as the Heavens recalls the Kidney's deep knowing, the kind we feel in our bones, which gives faith in life and in our ability to survive.

Worsley

Brings our relationship with Heaven to its consummation.

Location: 1.3 ACI from the midline of the head, 1½ ACI behind UB-6.
Needle depth: 3 fen
Moxa: 3-5 cones

When to Consider
  • When there is despair, chaos or mania on the spirit or mental level
  • When a person needs peace where there is trouble
  • When there is gloom, fearfulness, a confused mind and a lost sense of direction
  • When the mind is congested and stagnant
  • When someone has lost faith in life and feels scattered and unsure of the next step
  • When the person can't seem to see the bigger picture or their own spiritual side
Notes
  • Strongest on the spirit level, but also works on the mental level
  • Gives perspective and access to the godly realms where the spirit lives
