Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Water's great gift is life itself; its power lies in regenerating and bringing vitality. This point is Water, the Kidney, where the ancestral seeds and energy come from. Mentally, it helps new ideas to be born and brings warmth and a rebirth of spirit.

Worsley

Opens us gently to the seeds of wisdom and innocence, so that everything we do is permeated with the freshness and freedom of each moment and life becomes an adventure. We explore how every moment is reborn, coming to know, savor and live the creative union of earthly experience and heavenly presence.

  • Worsley calls it a Centre of Energy.

Location: 1½ ACI from the abdominal midline and 3 ACI below the umbilicus level, beside REN-4.
Needle depth: 5-10 fen
Moxa: 5-10 cones

When to Consider
  • When the person thinks there is no hope left in their life and happiness will never return
  • When new ideas need to be born, and the spirit needs warmth and rebirth
  • For anyone struggling to conceive
  • When someone feels their system and spirit are rusty and they need more stamina
  • When there is anxiety and emotional turmoil
  • For unnecessary hesitation
Combinations
