Notes

Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Benevolence and human kindness are the destiny of Wood. For that virtue to show, the Gallbladder must be able to act with fair and upright exactness, and when it is weak, timidity holds it back from acting. The name can also carry a sense of fear or worry, and the point calms the spirit and nourishes it. As the organ of discrimination, the Gallbladder lets us draw distinctions in life; like a young tree wanting to grow tall and straight, this point supports that. It is about following one's vision, the fulfillment of the planner's plans, hopes and dreams: upright, in contact with Heaven, living in balance. Plans have to be turned into action, and this point brings perspective, harmony and balance so the person sees what should and shouldn't be done, and why.

Worsley

Location: On the head, 1 ACI behind GB-16.
Needle depth: 3 fen

When to Consider
  • When timidity holds a person back from acting with courage
  • When the spirit needs calming
  • When the sound of voices is unbearable
  • When a person feels disoriented or out of place in any way
  • For someone who veers left and right with good intentions but cannot come to a decision
