Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Supporting Muscles strengthens and supports the muscles that let us move with ease and fluidity. It supports the mind as well, so it can be structured, strong and free in its movement. Where there is weakness or lack of control, it brings strength. It combines strength with fluidity, so the person can be upright, mobile and in control, flowing yet still grounded and supported: agility of body, mind and spirit.

Worsley

Supplies great strength and agility that infiltrate every action, thought and feeling. As we cultivate this inner strength, we gain the means to live with determination and purpose, and the drive to fulfill our potential.

Location: On the back of the lower leg, between the medial and lateral heads of gastrocnemius, 12 ACI above the level of the lateral malleolus prominence.
Needle depth: Do not needle
Moxa: 3-7 cones

When to Consider
  • When the mind needs structure, strength and freedom of movement
  • Where there is weakness or lack of control
  • When a person needs to be mobile and fluid again
Notes
  • Can also reinforce structure on a physical level
