Five Elements Spirit Perspective
| Spirit of the Point | This point concerns the Supreme Controller, the emperor or god within us. The inner god exists only through the outer God; rather than being two separate things, the two are one and must stay in communication. Utmost Source connects the body and the Heavens; it is like a hotline to God, the Emperor, and it gives tranquility and has the power to revitalize, resurrect and replenish. The person must have Fire in their own body, mind and spirit for everything else to function. The Fire element is what lets a person feel at one with others and with the divine; when that sense of unity is lost, this point restores it. |

From Class
- SP-21 Dabao (bodhisattva vow): Qi circulation from HT-1 through all channels ends at SP-21 — the flowering of service to something greater than oneself.
- SP-21 Dabao to HT-1 (agape): Agape = heaven becoming blood and muscle; SP-21 'great enveloping', the great luo, distributes the year's work before HT-1 restarts the cycle.
- HT-1 Jiquan — Knowledge/Career palace: Supports alignment between purpose, action and who we are; service without identifying with the role. (Lewis)
- Diaphragm entry-exit points: SP-21→HT-1, LV-14→LU-1 (the only one passing qi through the diaphragm), KI-22→PC-1 all pass through the heart region; upper kidney points relate shen and ling (soul).
- Heart channel as 'an ode to the journey' (citing Jeffrey Yuen): From axilla to little finger, the Heart channel reflects the lessons of being human; its nine points correspond to the nine heart pains / nine palaces. (Lewis)
