Five Elements Spirit Perspective

Spirit of the Point

Bladder Correspondence connects directly with the Bladder, the Official that stores the fluids, keeps what is usable and lets the rest go, caring for both how much water we have and how pure it is. Once we doubt that we will survive, fear scatters our capacity to function. When the water of body, mind and spirit is not pure, thoughts and feelings turn stagnant, wary and suspicious.

Worsley

Opens to the Bladder Official a direct, immediate and free channel to its own store of energy, and that store underpins the basic workings of the Official who Controls the Storage of Water.

Location: 2½ ACI from the midline over the sacrum, level with the 2nd sacral foramen.
Needle depth: 8-10 fen
Moxa: 7-15 cones

When to Consider
  • When the head is always cold
  • When fear about survival scatters a person's ability to function
  • When thoughts and feelings have become stagnant, wary or suspicious
Notes
  • Inner Associated Effect Point (AEP) of the Bladder itself
