Five Elements Spirit Perspective
| Spirit of the Point | Lungs Correspondence is the Back Shu, the inner Associated Effect Point (AEP), of the Lung. The name refers to its regulation of the Lungs, and "hollow" suggests a container that the Organ's circulating Qi flows through; a hollow point can both show and treat imbalance in its Organ. It unites the work of the Lung on body, mind and spirit, and helps when long grief and sadness have dried up the Lung Qi, so the person can breathe in inspiration again. |
|---|---|
| Worsley | Opens to the Lung Official a direct, immediate and free channel to the energy the Bladder Official holds in reserve, and that store underpins the basic workings of the Official who receives the pure Qi from the Heavens. Location: On the back, 2 ACI from the midline, level with the dip between the T3 and T4 spinous processes. |
